We collect your name and email when you join our waitlist or reserve a PWR TWR. If you pay a £25 reservation deposit, our payment provider handles your card details — we never see or store them. Here’s exactly how we use your information, and how to control it.

1 Who we are

PWR TWR Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the “data controller” of your personal information. That means we decide what information is collected and what happens to it — and we’re legally responsible for looking after it.

2 The short version

We collect your name and email when you join our waitlist or reserve a PWR TWR. If you pay a £25 reservation deposit, our payment provider handles your card details — we never see or store them. We use your information to keep you updated about the product and our Kickstarter launch, and to show you relevant ads.

You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing dale@powertower.ltd.

3 What information we collect

Payment information

If you pay a reservation deposit or place an order, payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with limited details such as the last four digits of your card and the billing name. We do not intentionally collect any “special category” data, such as information about health, race, religion or political views. Please don’t send us any.

4 Why we use your information, and our legal basis

Under UK data protection law we must have a valid legal reason, called a “lawful basis”, for using your information. Here’s ours.

Take and manage your £25 reservation deposit, and process refunds
Send reminder emails if you start a reservation but don’t finish it

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Click “unsubscribe” in any email, change your cookie settings, or email dale@powertower.ltd. Withdrawing consent doesn’t make anything we did beforehand unlawful.

5 Marketing emails

If you join our waitlist, pay a reservation deposit, or otherwise give us your email address, we’ll send you updates about PWR TWR, including launch news, product development updates and offers.

Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email dale@powertower.ltd and ask to be removed, and we’ll action it promptly.

If you unsubscribe, we’ll keep a minimal record of your email address on a “do not contact” list, purely so we don’t accidentally email you again.

6 Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

Essential cookies make the website work, for example remembering what’s in your basket. These don’t need your consent.
Analytics cookies tell us how people use the site, so we can improve it.
Advertising cookies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and similar tools, let us measure how our adverts perform and show you relevant ads.

We will only place non-essential cookies if you agree via our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on our website, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

7 Who we share your information with

We never sell your personal information. We do share it with trusted suppliers who help us run our business, known as “processors”, who may only use it on our instructions:

Website and e-commerce platform — WordPress (and our hosting provider)
Payment processing — Stripe
Email marketing — Klaviyo
Website analytics — Google Analytics, and Meta
Advertising — Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and TikTok
Crowdfunding platform — Kickstarter, when we launch
Professional advisers — our accountants, lawyers and insurers, where needed

We may also disclose information if we’re legally required to, for example to a regulator, court or law enforcement, or if our business is sold or reorganised.

8 Sending information outside the UK

Some of our suppliers are based outside the UK, or store data outside the UK, most commonly in the United States or the European Union.

When we transfer your information outside the UK, we make sure it’s protected by one of the safeguards allowed under UK law, such as:

a UK “adequacy” decision confirming the country has suitable protections; or
the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.

10 How we keep your information safe

We take sensible steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), reputable suppliers with strong security, access limited to people who genuinely need it, and strong passwords with two-factor authentication where available.

No system is ever completely secure. If a data breach happens that’s likely to put your rights at risk, we’ll report it to the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours and tell you if you’re likely to be seriously affected.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

Ask us to delete your information — “the right to be forgotten.”

07 — Data portability

Receive your information in a portable format.

08 — Withdraw consent

At any time, where we relied on consent.

You also have the right not to be subject to automated decision-making that has a significant effect on you. We don’t do this.

12 Children

Our website and products are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, email dale@powertower.ltd and we’ll delete it.

Our website may link to other websites, and our adverts appear on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices — please read their own privacy policies.

14 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we’ll let you know by email or by a notice on our website.
